Text4baby is a free mobile texting service for expectant and new parents to improve the health of babies and moms! You’ll receive three text messages a week on your mobile phone appropriate to your due date or the baby’s age. How does it know?
You’ll enroll simply by texting the word BABY (for English messages) or BEBE (for Spanish languages to 511411. You’ll receive back a text asking for your zip code (so you’ll receive San Diego County specific messages) and your due date or the date of baby’s birth. You’ll receive messages throughout pregnancy and the first year of life.

Text4baby is a national coalition headed by the Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition. San Diego is proud to be one of a handful of communities that send localized messages with area resource phone numbers to get parents connected with resources quickly. We are also the first community to have completed research showing how effective Text4baby is at communicating important health information.
